Racquetball is a fast-paced racket sport played with a hollow rubber ball
in a squash court.
The game is now being played by a growing number of players at the club.
“American scoring rules” to 15 points is used and matches are generally
best of 5 games.
Racquetball is a game that everyone can enjoy all year round, rain or
shine. It combines the social and competitive elements of sport with
substantial health and fitness benefits.
Rallies can be quite extensive and the game is a great alternative to squash.
Each point begins with a serve, in which the player bounces the ball and strikes
it against the front wall and rebounds beyond the short line. The server has two
chances to get their serve in play. The rally is played until the ball bounces
on the floor more than once, the ball does not reach the front wall, the ball
hits an out-of -bounds surface, the ball hits a player, or the ball is carried.
